About choosing the epic Sanskrit poem that extols the love of Krishna and Radha, Mohapatra says, “The Gita Govinda is an incomparable masterpiece of Indian literature and its ornate, lyrical composition makes it a popular choice for classical dance.The vivid language inspires creativity and today, an ashtapadi is an integral part of every classical dance performer's repertoire.“ “Each one of us is presenting abhinaya in our own style but what is unique about this presentation is the fact that you are play ing emotions in a height ened manner it's about how we've personally interpreted Jayadeva's poems,“ says danseuse Anuradha Vikranth who is happy about the idea of sharing the stage with her contemporaries.
