they keep trickle charging until you take the batteries out. there is no shut off for ANY of these chargers in trickle mode. but who knows how long it was at 100% charge capacity. it looks good that it charged the batts completey. on slow charging it hits 100% charge capacity. it routinely overcharged and cooked my batts. I used to own this charger, and this was my experience with it. this charger will start to overcharge them. and while the max capacity ratings look good they are too close to the maximum capacity for saftey.
